PhD Candidate
I am a researcher at ACLED (Armed Conflict Location & Event Data), working on violent conflict and protests in Western Europe, West Africa, and Southeast Africa. I recently obtained a PhD cum laude at the School of International Studies (SIS) at the University of Trento in Italy.
My focus is on state security institutions and related dynamics of (in)security. In my role at ACLED, I collect and analyse data on protests, police intervention, and the use of force during demonstrations. I mostly focus on Italy, France, Benin and South Sudan. My PhD research investigated norm diffusion processes in international peacekeeping training centers in Italy and Ghana. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked as a consultant for UN agencies and NGOs on developmental and humanitarian issues, mostly in the African continent. I am an active member of UACES, BISA and EISA.
Feel free to contact me for more information or my full CV.
